My personal statement

Sat Apr 16, 2005, 3:52 PM
I am a color artist. Many of the works I put here have been drawn by close friends of mine. When they're on it in the first place, I leave all copyright notices intact and and add a note that I do the colors. Now that that's out of the way.

Some may look like duplicates or pallette swaps, but if I ever post a redundant image, it's so those that may come back here repeatedly can follow the evolution of my skills. I try to only post remakes when a)I really like a second colorset better, b)I've done it with a new technique that makes a significant [if hard to notice] change, or c) one is shaded and the other is a flatcolor. A perfect example will be the 2 'Dressed to Kill' pics, once I get the second one up. It's not just a recolor, it's been completely redone with an entirely new set of techniques shared by friends such as Dizbuster and Sizalia, sometimes tweaked for better use. I'm doing it to eliminate spending weeks on end looking for 'rogue pixels', which the first 'Dressed to Kill' has many, many, many of. One has to look close, but they're there. And I can't stand it.

*phew* Now that that's off my chest, I feel better. I also feel like I have a sense of purpose, that I am still useful in some way shape or form. But if the original artist of a drawing ever wants me to take something off display, just let me know.

Hello there. I just wanted to say that I like your work; keep up the goodness.
